Ahead of their stay, we got to know a bit about them, their love story, the upcoming wedding and the excitement of the getaway win. Here is what they had to say:

Describe how you and your partner met and your love story?

We met on an online dating app during the Covid-19 pandemic. After about a month of talking over messages and phone calls we finally went on our first date. Then we dated for about 10 months when he finally asked me to be his girlfriend. On the two year anniversary of our first date he proposed with a beautiful set up of roses and twinkle lights. We have been planning our wedding since, and our big day is later this year.

What have you enjoyed most about planning your wedding?

My favorite part of planning our wedding has definitely been the design process. I’m a very creative person, so being able to envision something and then bring it to life has been so fun.

What advice would you give other couples planning a wedding?

If I had any advice for another couple it would be to really keep the focus of this big day on you and your significant other. Planning can get hectic, but if you keep your relationship at the forefront it will be a great day no matter what. Also, if it’s in your budget, get a wedding planner — ours has made the biggest difference in this planning process.

What do you love about living in Northwest Florida?

The thing we love most about living in Northwest Florida would have to be the small-town feel you get. The climate here is also great since we get to have a little of all the seasons.

What unique elements do you plan to include during your ceremony or reception?

We love our board game nights — during our cocktail hour there will be board games available for guests until the reception begins.

What are you most looking forward to about your stay at Hilton Sandestin Beach?

We are most looking forward to relaxing on the beach and enjoying some time as a couple. Aside from visiting some family once a year we have not been on a vacation together. So this is definitely long overdue. We are so thankful to you guys and Hilton for this awesome opportunity and experience.
