From a Boat Proposal to a Wedding Cruise

As many modern romances go, Ashley and Danny’s love story began with an online connection. What began as internet smalltalk in 2010 resulted in a whirlwind romance. Since, the couple had two kids and purchased a beautiful home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

In July of 2019, on a family cruise, Danny got down on one knee. Ashley answered yes to the easiest question she’d been asked. It only seemed fitting the couple would marry on the water.

“We got married on a boat, SunQuest Cruises- Solaris on August 07, 2021 in Miramar Beach, and everything about that day was absolutely perfect. We had a wedding planner and coordinator which helped make the wedding planning process as non stressful as can be. SunQuest has different packages and allows you to plenty of time to pay down your balance before your big day.”“We booked an AIRBNB close to the venue so we were able to save money and use that as the main destination for rehearsal dinner and the getting ready for the wedding day. We used Kapturly who found us a photographer and videographer within the Florida region to capture our big day. Daniel and Duvan showed up early to make sure they didn’t miss any special moments. They both did an amazing job capturing our big day!”

“I did have two dresses, one for the ceremony which had a beautiful long train, and the reception dress was better suited for cutting loose on the dance floor. The reception was on the top deck of The Solaris boat, so the view at night was spectacular. We had a navy theme. The groomsmen wore navy suits and bridesmaids wore navy dresses. The groom wore a stunning lighter blue with floral prints on the inside, that helped him stand out.”

“The team from SunQuest was very responsive and you could tell that they knew what they were doing because we sure did have our dream wedding, and the ceremony was officiated by the captain. From the flowers, to the table settings for the reception – the ceremony set up took our breaths away. We decided to do a simple three-tiered cake which we ordered from Publix and we had the SunQuest florist add flowers to it. We had hors d’oeuvre – southern crab bites, stuffed mushrooms, and filet mignon crostini’s – being served during cocktail hour and then a buffet style setup for dinner. The food was absolutely exceptional.”

“A few things that set our wedding apart from others, is that my dad went on stage and serenaded us with a love song in our native language. No one was expecting it. It definitely came as a surprise to all our family and friends. With that being said, the in-house DJ did a great job with mixing in several of our traditional music songs with popular songs to get the crowd going. We kicked off the dance floor by performing our traditional Laotian dance. We ended the night with our friends and family sending us off under an arch of sparklers.”

“Booking with SunQuest made everything so easy and non stressful for us. We had a wedding planner that stayed on top of things and everything we envisioned came to life. The whole SunQuest team made sure that we had our dream wedding. The day goes by so fast – soak in every moment!”
