An Engaging Wedding Experience at Bricks and Brass

Pop the bubbly and munch on brunch bites, all while having one-on-one time with some of Tallahassee’s top wedding vendors at A Wedding Experience presented by Four Points by Sheraton. If you are planning a wedding, this likely sounds like the ideal way to spend Sunday, Aug. 11.

For the first time, this annual wedding show will take place at the brand new Bricks and Brass ballroom. The space’s high ceilings, polished cement and exposed brick will be fully furnished for a wedding — including flowers, a dance floor, decor, a cake and more — so you can fully visualize the room in all its wedding day glory.

“Guests received a sneak peek of our brand new Bricks and Brass ballroom last year and we’re excited to showcase the completed project at this event,” said Kendyl Smith, Catering and Events Manager at Four Points by Sheraton Tallahassee Downtown. “It is convenient and centrally located with over 5,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, making it the ideal downtown venue.”

A variety of vendors will display their work, answer questions, share their services and get to know you on a more personal level. To create a more inclusive and immersive experience, attendees will approach the process like a scavenger hunt, engage the vendors in questions and, in between, participate in wedding trivia to win a variety of prizes.

VIP guests will be offered a 30-minute head start to talk with vendors while enjoying mimosas and heavy hors d’oeuvres. General admission includes entry, food and access to the cash bar. All attendees are entered into the grand prize raffle for a chance to win a night stay in the Presidential Suite of the Four Points by Sheraton in downtown Tallahassee.

“This experience is different than other more traditional shows because it shakes the expectations of just being given a quick sales pitch and instead focuses on personalized encounters that truly let you get to know the vendor,” said Smith.
