Blissful Bridal Beauty at the Salon and Beyond

JA 30-A Salon & JA Essence Beauty promote self-care and self-love

One of the most pleasurable parts of the bridal experience is being pampered. JA 30-A Salon and JA Essence Beauty were created in the belief that you should feel relaxed and rewarded, no matter the occasion. Owner and creator Jennifer Albert honors total mind, body and soul wellness through her products and services.

Albert specializes in hair services and beauty products at her Santa Rosa Beach location and also travels to those seeking her services. For your wedding day and the many events leading up to it, Albert offers cuts, colors, extensions and styling.

Inspired by the sense of ease and luxury clients experienced in her chair, Albert decided to literally bottle that feeling through her JA Essence Beauty collection.

“JA Essence Beauty came from my devotion to providing a pampering, luxurious experience to women anywhere and everywhere they are,” Albert said. “I wanted to educate and empower women by providing products that are healing and rely on essential oils to boost your mood, relax the mind and create self-care rituals.”

Ranging from a luxurious almond rose scrub to a soothing lavender honey bath milk and more, the collection creates an in-home spa experience. These completely organic, handcrafted products promote healing and rejuvenation making them the ideal gift for a bride or bridal party.

“Weddings are a time of celebration and bringing friends and family together,” Albert said. “Using or gifting these products during a wedding weekend will relieve stress and provide much deserved pampering.”

Albert has long been an advocate for total health. In college, she studied nutrition and wellness. As she studied the body’s internal systems, she also became fascinated with the way outer appearances made people feel on the inside. Often, she volunteered to style the hair of friends and college classmates.

Following this passion, she enrolled in hair school then moved to Chicago, where she worked for both large corporate salons and boutique salons. Eventually, she moved to New York City and became a chemical and extension specialist with luxury hair brand Frederic Fakkai.

“I was always the first in the salon and last out simply because I loved connecting with my clients,” Albert said. “Uplifting spirits and giving confidence is an act of love for me. It’s more than a job or career, it’s an art.”

After seven years in the big city and Fakkai’s corporate shift, Albert found herself questioning if she was truly fulfilled, happy and balanced. During this time, she took a trip to Santa Rosa Beach. Doing yoga, paddleboarding, spending time at the beach and getting to know the local businesses, brought her the balance and satisfaction she had been missing.

Realizing she could continue to live this life, Albert moved to Santa Rosa Beach in 2015 and opened her own salon.

“During this transition, I went on a journey to serve myself to better take care of the women around me,” Albert said.

This is when Albert began doing research on beauty products. With women being the main consumer of hair and skin products, Albert was increasingly concerned about the ingredients used and the myriad of health issues linked to them. She set out to create products that are clean, safe and sustainable.

“Whether you are buying products or receiving a hair service, I am intentional and purposeful with my focus on the individual,” Albert said.
