What We Loved This Week: August 26 – September 1

By Janecia Britt

Welcome to a new series for Northwest Florida Weddings where our team shares the things that caught our eye this week.

Olive Ave Jewelry

Since I have recently joined the ranks of the engaged, I might be a bit infatuated with rings, especially mine. The first time I saw Olive Ave jewelry, was a targeted Instagram ad.

As a wedding magazine editor, I am a constant target for all things wedding related on my social media timelines. But, I must say it worked!

I adored this company’s unique, art deco, high-quality rings made by a small, family-owned jewelry business based out of Arizona.

Over a year ago, when my boyfriend inquired what ring styles I liked, I simply told him anything from Olive Ave, and that’s what I got.

The ring is stunning, the customer service is impeccable and I love supporting localized businesses over big box brands.

Pearl Veils

I love a cathedral veil. The drama and the look of it is just breathtaking so when I saw this sweet version of it from Tania Maras, I about fell out of my chair.

Once I saw this, I started seeing pearled veils everywhere, on Instagram from Twig and Honey, and in my email from Grace Loves Lace.

Despite a veil being traditional, adding these subtle and sometimes not so subtle pearl details are just a gorgeous way to adorn yourself on your wedding day.

Embroidered Denim Jackets

I’ve seen a ton of cute wedding photos on Pinterest with the bride wearing a custom denim jacket over her gown and I am just so there for that vibe!

Some have been super personalized and some are more broad so that it’s wearable long after your wedding day but I thought it was such a unique and classic way to personalize your big day.

It would also make an awesome personalized gift to give your bridal party that isn’t tacky or overdone (as long as it’s in your budget!)

Something Borrowed Blooms

I used Something Borrowed Blooms for my wedding and love that they now have beautiful garland rentals!
They’re really cost-effective and better for the Earth in regards to the amount of waste a wedding celebration produces.
