Nostalgia Parfum

Our senses conjure some of our most cherished memories, particularly scent. Certain scents call to mind memories, whether it be your grandma’s sacred pumpkin pie recipe, which reminds you of the holidays or the tropical scent of a suntan lotion used during college spring breaks. I’m very into selecting a signature scent for your wedding day.

I encourage both individuals to do this. Even better, Anthropologie carries the brand Nostalgia Eau De Parfum that has an “I Do” scent featuring a blend of peony and musk. Whatever scent you choose, it will always remind you of your wedding day.

Wedding Banners

I love collecting trinkets. Everything from enamel pins to postcards and even pennants. So, of course, I immediately fell head over heels for this larger than life wedding banner.

I’ve always loved the work Oxford Pennant does and their pennant work well in so many ways who knew they made these for weddings!

It takes the traditional pennant to a new level and is such an amazing thing to create and then preserve from your big day. I image this framed in a game or family room that will always hold fond memories for years to come.

Painted Wedding Cakes

I’ve never been a fan of really large dramatic wedding cakes and being gluten-free, I also don’t have the urge to have a cake at my wedding.

But the traditionalist in me has a hard time saying no, especially to these stunning painted cakes. I love that they are small, simple but have a “wow” factor that isn’t overbearing.

Velvet

I’m coming up on my one year anniversary since I said “I do!” and I wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding day, but WOW I’m obsessed with the velvet trend and the jewel tones.

I stumbled across Jenny Yoo on Instagram this past week during the #tropicalstorm and the blue long sleeve velvet caught my eye. Her site features so many other dress and fabric styles that I adore.
