Create Your Own Love Story at Tallahassee’s Seventh Annual A Bridal Story

Your bridal story begins with a sparkling ring being placed on your finger and culminates with a celebration of your love. Yet the moment you change your relationship status, there are many details that happen in between. A Bridal Story is a boutique wedding show created to help you enjoy all of those planning details that go into a wedding.

On Sunday, February 9, Vocelles | The Bridal Shoppe, along with premier sponsor John Gandy Events, will present a vast lineup of local vendors at Goodwood Museum and Gardens. From 1–3 p.m. couples will have the chance to talk one-on-one with vendors in order to learn more about their services and potentially book providers.

“I started A Bridal Story seven years ago because I felt the community needed this type of personalized bridal show experience that focused on seeing the vendors in action and getting to know the vendors personally,” said Kristen Vocelle Barstow, owner of Vocelles. “So much of wedding interactions are done through a screen now, but it’s so important to connect in person with those who are planning one of the most important days of your life.”

Guests can sip champagne, sample scrumptious food and enter to win impressive prizes from local vendors and businesses. One of the most coveted raffle prizes is the chance to win a free wedding dress from Vocelles. The lucky winner will be invited to Vocelles to pick out her dream dress, valued at up to $3,500.

The fashion show is a highly anticipated aspect featuring the hottest fashions including wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses from Vocelles, suits and tuxedos from Nic’s Toggery and mother-of-the-bride styles from Narcissus, all modeled by Marsha Doll models.

Tickets can be purchased ahead of time for a decreased rate. Ticket prices will increase at the door. General admission includes five raffle tickets, two drink tickets and admission. VIP tickets include admission 30 minutes before, reserved seating at the fashion show, 10 raffle tickets, two drinks tickets and entrance into the gifting suite to select prizes.

“This is a really fun way to take a step back from the stress of planning and just enjoy the day with your family, friends and fiancé,” said Vocelle Barstow. “It’s a way to get to know some really great Tallahassee and Thomasville vendors without the pressure of being sold to. It’s a day to simply enjoy the happiness of being engaged.”
